WHOM DO YOU FEAR? The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

Image
TUESDAY 28TH MARCH 2023 DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: Whom do you fear? TEXT: Prov 1:7  Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline . Nathan was a good preacher of Christ, he preaches end-time gospel. The people in the neighborhood were unpleased about this, so they tormented him. Seeing he still stood his ground, they arrested him and asked him to denounce Christ, he refused, and after so much torture he made a statement.  ' ' if I deny the maker, mightier than you all, then who will be my refuge and my fortress, the one fighting my battle even when you all tormented me, I will never forsake him. Immediately he uttered this statement, they were stunned, even when they had tortured him, he still had the boldness to proclaim Christ. At that moment they were curious to know more, so they listened to what he had to say, from that moment onward he was treated very nicely and the neighborhood dedicated their life to Christ and...

WISDOM SOUGHT AFTER..PROV 8:11

Image
THURSDAY, 23RD MARCH 2023 DEVOTION.  TOPIC: WISDOM SOUGHT AFTER.  TEXT: Proverbs 8:11             " For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it." Wisdom is as powerful as anything, an essential attribute in anyone wwho is in Christ, as it is what guides the lifestyle that one lives, it guides all the steps that one will take in life. Anyone without it, is automatically void of direction. It's a light that shines in darkness and paves way for direction as to which path to go. Now, what wisdom is being sought after and which should actually be sought after?  Many in the world have forsaken the wisdom that ought to be sought after and now chasing worldly wisdom that cannot pave way for direction and the fulfillment of God's purpose for their lives.  The worth of the wisdom of God is incomparable to anything and must be greatly desired. As believers, nothing should be done...

THE LIFE OF PRAYER Eph 6:11-12

Image
Thursday, 16th of March 2023 devotion. TOPIC: The Life of Prayer.  TEXT: Ephesians 6:11-12          “ Put on, therefore, the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil”           "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(KJV).  The armor of a Christian is; The WORD of God and PRAYER. A Christian who lives without these two is like a soldier going to a battlefield without a weapon.  He who builds a life of prayer builds his wall against foes, evils, and attacks.  As believers, if we must live in this world of vanity and wickedness, if we would survive those in this world that the Bible has stated that we wrestle against, we must imbibe the culture of prayer. Prayer is the key to overcoming, and also a key to victory. A victorious Christ...

YIELDING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Image
Tuesday 14th March 2023 devotional Topic: Yielding to the Holy Spirit Text: Gal 5:16 and Rom 12:2 Gal 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Rom 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is good, pleasing, and perfect will. To yield to the Holy Spirit means to surrender to the Holy Spirit. The function of the Holy Spirit is to teach (John 14:26), guide and protect. When you yield to the Holy Spirit, you give up your own ideas and effort and put yourself in his hand. Peace loves God and has the Holy Spirit, but little did she know that she is back sliding, she wants to dress, dance, speak, and, act like worldly people. A day came when she was watching a Music Video and the Holy Spirit whispered to her that 'is it this the life without Christ she would like to be living?' Immediately sh...

GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS by FaithfulnessIIndgw

Thursday, 9th March 2023 devotion.  TOPIC: GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS! TEXT: Psalm 145: 18-19         “The Lord is nigh unto them that call upon Him, to those who call upon Him, He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.” Oftentimes, humans think that God has turned completely deaf ears to them, which is not so. They have concluded within them that they would never pray again because God isn't hearing them.  The truth is God is, He answers prayers. He isn't a man that would lie, neither is He a son of man that should repent(Num 23:19), what He says, He will do, and what is it He has said concerning prayer?  He says, “And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive” (Matt 21:22). Furthermore, he also says in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”. These are His promises, if you are no...

THE HEART OF GRATITUTE...by faithfulnessIINGDw

Thursday, 2nd of March 2023 Devotional Topic: The heart of gratitude.  Text: Psalm 100:5          “For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations”     Truly, the Lord is ever good, He is good to all but not everyone enjoys Him, not everyone gets to enjoy His mercy that is ever living nor the truth in Him, why?  Because they never appreciate the ones He does, and that's indirectly telling Him that what He's done is nothing. They don't get to enjoy the little God has done for them, nor the ones their ungrateful heart has hindered God from showering upon them.  Dorcas is a devoted young Christian, she never really knew how to pray, but once it comes to giving thanks to God for the things He has done for her, regardless of its worth (Little or big), she heartily does that and day by day, she keeps enjoying the richness in the mercies of God. She has now learnt to pray, but she still ...
