MAN; THE ORCHESTRATOR OF FAILED PROMISES....God is not a man that he should lie...
TOPIC:Man; the orchestrator of failed promises.
TEXT: Numbers 23:19
_"God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? (KJV)._
Miracle, a young and devoted Christian who was passionate about working for God and the love of God for Him, God made His promises to prosper and uplift him mightily known to Him and was giving Him some instructions to follow.
After a while of rightly and passionately walking in God's instructions, he began to feel weary towards the things of God, and to people around him, he was still a passionate and devoted Christian but deep down in him, he was not as hot as he used to be, instead of growing in communion and communication with God, he was stagnant for a long time and then began to deteriorate when he consciously didn't take cognizant of how his Christian life was.
Meanwhile, in his mind, he was certain God's promises will come to fulfillment, after all, He (God) doesn't lie, and so he continued his life carelessly, conscious and expectant of God's promises but forgot his place of diligence and labor where necessary. He lived all his life waiting to see God's promises come to fruition and unfortunately for him, it was too late before he found out he was not doing the right thing, he died without living the life of wonder that God promised Him because of his foolishness.
He misinterpreted the scripture where God says “Whatever I say, I will do” Yes, of course, He will do but man isn't expected to be idle, God isn't a God of disorderliness, idleness, and laziness, He does His best in ensuring that His promises come to the realization, but man must always be conscious of how He (God) wants him to live his life and do for His promises to be fulfilled.
PRAYER
Father, we pray that we are helped by you to rightly walk in the life and path you have chosen for us, that we may live to fulfill your glorious promises to us. Amen.
