TOPIC: put on the Full Armor of God 

TEXT: Eph 6:10-18

LIGHT:And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Vs 18

Itan is the prayer cord in his fellowship, a very fervent Christian brother, he has a place prepared for him by God. 

Itan almost lost it when an opposite-sex coursemate visited him in his hostel freeing offering herself an unsolicited order. By God's grace and frequent prayer, Itan stood his ground. Afterward, Itan received a revelation on what could have happened to him if he did not defy the spirit.

As Christians, you have to put on the full armor of God, so you can take your stand against the devil's scheme. 

The need to put on the armor of God always is to prepare you for battle. For the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces.

The full armor of God is: 

•The belt of truth

•the breastplate of righteousness

•The shoes of the gospel of peace

•The shield of faith

•The helmet of salvation

•The sword of the spirit (word of God)

When you are always in the full armor of you, it makes you fully prepared to battle against spiritual forces of evil, without your back touching the ground.

All these are beyond metaphor, we need to frequently study the scripture so as not to be misled by the wrong gospel and be prayerful. 

And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Prayer: Lord, I pray you continue to send your word to me to keep me abreast of the good news and grant me the grace to be triumphant in the battle against spiritual forces of evil.
