GOD'S PRESENCE PUSHES THE ENEMY BACKWARD....your victory is fully guaranteed
Topic: GOD'S PRESENCE PUSHES THE ENEMY BACKWARD
Text:Joshua 3:16; Psalm 114:1-7
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion (Psalm 114:1-2).
The road to achieving great things in life is not always easy. It is sometimes filled up with debris; sometimes with unseen imagery of fear and discouragement. In such situations, it is only God's presence that can get one going. The Red Sea, Jordan, and Jericho wall, all moved back or fell before God's people because they had become the sanctuary and dominion of God. The enemies flee before you, not because you have any skill to outwit them, but because they see God with you. He is the Man of war (Exod. 15:3; Psa. 24:7-9). The enemy might be evil thoughts, sin, strange and wicked people around, taking the ungodly, unprofitable step that can negatively affect you, etc. Do you know Satan instigated David to do a census against God's will (1 Chro? 21:1)?
In God's presence, opposition, hindrances, and obstructions give way. Note that any time the Israelites achieved victory, they had been in tune with their God. Oh! Christ in me, the hope of glory (2 Cor. 2:14; Col. 1:27). At the praise of God, enemies fall (2 Chron. 20:20-23). In the presence of Jesus, demons quiver (Mk. 5:6, 7). The host of Syria fled while they heard the noise of chariots and horses on the battlefield (2 Kgs. 7:1-7).
When Christ is fully formed in you, your victory is guaranteed. Can anyone battle with the Lord? What is your relationship with God? Are you on the Lord's side? Some say God is not with them anymore, rather, they have strayed away, like Dinah, Demas, Judas, and Balaam. Brethren, let us return to our first love.
