God discipines his Sons...God disciplines us for our good
Topic: God disciplines his son
Text:Hebrews 12:1-13
Heb 12:10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.
Heb12:6 Because the Lord disciplines those he loves, he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.
David used a stone to write on his dad's car, when his dad got to know his dad disciplined him, there he got to know he was mistaken and did not do it again. He felt a sense of relief when his father disciplines him. At least he will no longer be scared of the punishment given to him because of his offense since he had already been disciplined.
If an earthly father can discipline his child for correction, how much more should we submit to our heavenly father vs9
Since God is everywhere, and he sees all we do, even our thought and our actions, l avoid and run from anything that looks sinful, so as not to attract wrath.
Vs 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood. Many times when we are tempted, we can always resist if we want to.
The same way he loves us and answers our requests is the same way he disciplines his children
Numerous times when there is hardship, as God's child we should endure discipline, so we may share in his holiness which will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Prayer: Dear lord, whenever I am being disciplined by you, give me the strength to endure and enable us to do with sinful nature at all times🙏🏿
By Peace NGDW
