LOVE IS NOT HYPOCRITAL...do not love because of what you stand to gain

Topic: LOVE IS NOT HYPOCRITICAL 
Text: Romans 12:9-21
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Love is not hypocritical, don't love people only when you're on good terms with them and hate them when you're not, don't love people only when you have something to gain from them, don't love people because they're popular or because they have a lot of money. 

Don't love people in their faces and stab them with your words the minute they turn their backs. Don't love people because your friend/family/leader loves them and then hates them when they don't like them anymore. The enemy of your friend isn't your enemy, my dear. 

Love is TRUE, and that's because God is love. He has set the pace for what love should be; sacrifice, humility, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, correction and rebuke, respect, reconciliation… These and many more are elements of love. If you don't find these in your relationship with the people you claim to love, you clearly do not love them (enough). God bless us. 

Romans 12:9 
Love should be shown without pretending. Hate evil, and hold on to what is good.


Prayer: Abba, please help me to love others as you have loved me in Jesus’s name.
