Wednesday, 16th of November 2022 Devotion. Topic: What are you chasing after? Text: 1 John 4:17     “ Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world.” Our love is made perfect in only Christ and in Him, we will have boldness in the day of judgement, but what will determine whether we will have the boldness or not? Our chase now on earth will.  The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33;  “ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Looking at this scripture, the kingdom of God, which involves doing the will of God and choosing it again and again over ours should be our chase while on earth.  We must not be too taken in with mundane things that an end will come to in a day we know not of, and it will be too late for us to be saved by Christ.  The kingdom of God should be our utmost chase not gold nor silver...

Be a peacemaker Text:Matt5:9, Romans 12:14-21 " Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Shayo had 4 roommates, one of her roommates bears Titi, Titi has a friend who comes to their room on regular basis to get stuff from Titi. Everything was going fine until Titi's friend chose not to greet shayo and her other roommate. Angry Shayo's roommate beefed  Titi's friend. On a fateful morning, Titi's friend came as usual, Shayo took it upon herself to interrogate Titi's friend and her response was she stopped greeting when everyone in the room do not respond to her greeting when she comes around. So we too, should be peacemakers, not peace breakers.
